Are you looking for Weekend Work at a Children’s Disability Playscheme?

 

Weekenders Club requires experienced Care Workers / Play Workers to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays in every 4, at our playscheme for children and teenagers with disabilities. From 1st June 2024 the playscheme is based at The Vinery Centre,20 Vinery Terrace, East End Park, Leeds, LS9 9LU.

The job involves working with children and teenagers with a variety of disabilities, aged between 5 and 18 years. It is essential that you have had extensive experience of working in a disabled setting (e.g. SILC School or an ongoing disability playscheme).

Hours of work are 9.00am to 5.00pm, including a half hour unpaid lunch break. Pay is £12.72 per hour + holiday pay at the statutory rate. We have 5 shutdown weekends per year when our playscheme is closed.

Please note that for these roles extensive experience of working in disabled children’s/young people’s setting is essential.

It is desirable (but not essential) that you have the appropriate qualification (minimum of NVQ Level 3 in playwork or childcare).
